Fees & Payments

Fees at Waste Sites

Before visiting a waste site, please review the applicable fees in the waste bylaw. Below is a general summary of the fees. 

  • Household waste and recyclables - free
  • Appliances requiring freon removal - $30.00
  • Large household Item - $20.00
  • Construction & Demolition materials - $25.00 per cubic yard
  • Docks - $25.00 per cubic yard
  • Fiberglass/Wood boats - $5.00 per foot (metal boats are free) 


Payments

All of the Township's waste sites are cashless. Residents can pay for applicable items by PayPal, waste tags, or a debit terminal (Site 9 only). For PayPal, when you arrive at a waste site, the attendant will inform you of any applicable fees for payable items. You will then scan the QR code with your cell phone, enter the dollar value, complete the transaction, and present the attendant with the confirmation of payment. We recommend you download the PayPal app and create an account prior to going to the waste sites to save yourself time. 

Waste tags can be purchased at the Township Office (9 James Street) or Holiday Cove Marina (13 Rose Point Road). Waste tags are $2.50 per tag and must be purchased in advance and provided to the attendant. 

A debit terminal is available at Site 9 landfill and is the preferred method of payment there. Contractors can still use the billing system for disposal at Site 9 and applicable transfer stations.
