Municipal Grants


The Township of The Archipelago offers Municipal Grants to Acknowledge and Support the Efforts of Community Organizations that Provide Essential Services, Activities, and Programs, Enhancing Residents' Quality of Life




To apply for a Municipal Grant, please review the below Eligibility and Guidelines and access the FORMS menu for all the pertinent information required. *The deadline to apply for 2025 Municipal Grant Funding is November 30th 2024*

Eligibility


To be eligible for a Municipal Grant, applicants must

  • Be a not-for-profit incorporated organization or registered charitable organization that has been in operation for a minimum of one year OR
  • Be an unincorporated organization with not-for-profit goals and governance structure
  • Be Governed by a community-based volunteer Board of Directors
  • Extend services to the General Public of the Township of The Archipelago
  • Demonstrate Fiscal Responsibility

Project & Expense Eligibility

  • Must be accessible to everyone
  • Have a budget separate from the Organizations Operating Budget
  • Benefit the citizens of the Township of The Archipelago
  • Include significant volunteer involvement
  • Have specific benefit and outcome that contributes to the well being of Township residents
  • Be sustainable beyond the support of the Municipal Grant

Application Guidelines
  • Funding Applications must be submitted before the deadline. Late submissions will not be considered

  • Funding application must be completed in full

  • Applicants will publicly acknowledge support from the Township of The Archipelago and include a Township logo on all forms of communication related to the project

  • A grant will only be used for the purpose approved by Council and not to be regarded as a commitment by the Township to continue assistance in the future. The grant recipient must request approval for any proposed material changes to the project prior to implementation

  • Applicants must submit a new Municipal Grant Funding Application each year

  • Application, Eligibility Checklist and Financial Budget Form must be submitted to be considered for Municipal Funding. Please see FORMS section

Please be sure you have:

  • Read and acknowledged the Municipal Grant Funding Policy

  • Completed in full the Municipal Grant Funding Application Form, Eligibility Checklist and Financial Budget Form

  • Signed the Municipal Grant Funding Application Form (by an authorized member)

  • Applied for the Municipal Grant Funding Application by the deadline

Successful applicants who receive funding from the program must report on how the funding was spent and the impact the funding achieved. A reporting template will be provided with the grant award.
